CrossFit Bluefield RULES

We are here to train YOU!  We are here for YOU!  We love the community that is developed in CrossFit gyms when training with others on a regular basis.  But we DO EXPECT everyone to treat the box with respect.  And to treat those around you with that same respect.

Below are a list of rules for the facility that will be followed at all times.

 

Right to a Clean Facility

  • Re-rack all weights even if you didn’t use them. The location you should put them is not where it is most convenient for you, but rather where they’re supposed to go.
     
  • Leave the gym in better condition than it was found.
     
  • Don’t track rain, dirt or mud onto the gym floor unless you plan on cleaning it up.
     
  • Keep the chalk in the chalk buckets or on your hands!


Conditions Regarding “Attitude”

  • Check your ego at the door.
     
  • Come to train, not “workout.”
     
  • Leave your personal drama at home.
     
  • No excuses. Train like a champ.
     
  • No whining.
     
  • No “snitting” (un/intentionally miscounting reps during a workout)
     
  • Help others be better than you.


Provisions Concerning Hygiene

  • Use deodorant.
     
  • Wear clean clothes (not stinky ones!).
     
  • Don’t spit in the gym.
     
  • Don’t make a mess in the bathrooms.
     
  • If you’re contagious, stay home!


Right of Respect

  • Be on time.
     
  • Respect others.
     
  • No excessive use of profanity. (Please note, we are not G-rated)
     
  • In the gym, we are all equal.


Additional Tips

1.     Put your weights back, This is non-negotiable

2.     Treat the equipment with respect, but do not baby it. Note: Barbells should not be dropped with less than 90lbs.

3.     Work hard every time or we don’t want you here. Don’t drag others down with your problems.

4.     Don’t be a Jerk. There is always someone bigger, faster and stronger than you.

5.     Don’t expect immediate results, There is no shortcut or magic pill. Enjoy the Sweat, Welcome the pain.

6.     Don’t worry about how you look, stress about how you perform.

7.     Don’t be late; We are not waiting on you.

8.     We are coaches, not your personal trainers. Don’t expect us to get your weights, put them away, count your reps, hold your hands, get you a tissue or call your momma.

9.   Never say “I can’t.” We only want those that are wanting to better themselves and are willing to push hard to get there!

10.   The athelte is responsible for his/her own fitness, health, and safety. Our workouts are tough, if something is to hard back off a little this being intelligent not weak.

11.   Leave your personal/job/family problems at the door. This gym is our sanctuary, and we want a positive environment in which to train. 

12.   Don’t make us ask for you for money.  The gym will be ready for you without asking.

13.   Most importantly, Laugh, we all look funny doing this stuff. Have fun and enjoy the fact that the person beside you is wanting the workout to be over as much as you!
